Membership at CommonWealth is open to anyone who lives or works in Santa Clara County. Even if you don't live or work here, you may still be eligible for membership if you are related to a current member so please contact us for more details.

Joining Is As EASY As 1, 2, 3

  1. Complete the membership application
  2. Include a check for $15 ($5 pays your one-time membership fee and $10 is deposited into your regular share/savings account)
  3. Provide a copy of your identification (a valid U.S. driver's license, California identification card, U.S. Military ID, U.S. passport or Matricula Consular ID)

Important Information About Procedures for Opening a New Account

To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. What this means for you: when you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver's license or other identifying documents.

All new accounts require a thumbprint and are verified through ChexSystems.
